Common Wastes inside the Cave

Written By (sagada genuine guides association inc). on Thursday, February 9, 2012 | 9:23 PM

Every month, SAGGAS makes it to a point to enter the cave and pick up all the trash, waste, garbage that guests and also locals (guides included)[none from Saggas of course] left during their tour. The pickers have ranked these items.

1. Topping the waste list are the Plastic bottles and Candy wrappers.
2. Cigarette butts - small as it may seem but we collected allot of it every time, smoking has not been prohibited inside the cave including the guides (not a Saggas).
3. The Nastiest, The Meanest, The Yuckiest, The EWWWiest! The most insane waste that a guide would need to close his eyes, cover his nose and pick it out....................

Yep! you guest it right... Sanitary Napkins
The SaGGAs boys who are assigned to pick these up were provided with rubber gloves to pick them. However, these wastes are not seen easily, we literally search for it hidden amongst rocks and holes inside the cave.

4. Slippers and shoes - destroyed and without pair, we often see these left because of no use to the owner.

A message to those who went there unfortunately having their period that time, you may opt not to enter the tunnel, or you just have to ask your guide if he has a cellophane bag for disposal.
