Using your own vehicle

There are 3 routes you can reach Sagada from Manila

1. Manila - Baguio - Sagada
Take NLEX - SCTEX - TPLex - McArthur Highway, Kennon Road to Baguio then Halsema highway from La Trinidad to Sagada..  (Travel time will be dependent on how you drive and the number of stops plus traffic condition) but if you take on the road like assault (no stops plus speed) 9 - 10 hours.
(This is the shortest route, but the most expensive (toll ways)

2. Manila - Banaue - Sagada
There are three ways to do this.
2.1 (tipid mode) - NLEX - Exit @ Santa Rita. take Maharlika Highway all the way to Nueva vizcaya till Banaue then Sagada.
2.2 (iwas traffic sa Bulacan)- NLEX  - Exit @ San Simon - lesser traffic, you will reach the end part of Bulacan, then Maharlika Highway again.
2.3 (fastest way) - NLEX - SCTex- TPLex - Exit @ PURA - take the gerona road to Talavera.. this is longer but way way faster for you will have no problem with traffic already... after talavera is San Jose Nueva ecija to Vizcaya then Banaue  and finally Sagada.

3. Manila - Rosario La union -Tagudin - Cervantes Ilocos sur - Sagada .. Here. Take NLEX , SCTEX, TPLEX, exit at Binangonan, take the ilocos road until you will reach Tagudin, turn right to SUYO then Cervantes, Tadian then Sagada.

Gasoline Station: - There are lots of refuelling stations along the way. all routes.
What kind of Vehicle - Basically, all types of vehicle are okay to use.. no need to be 4x4 or SUV.. vans and small vehicles are okay because every road has been cemented already.

problem with driving your own vehicle is that, the driver will be very tired for tours when you arrive in Sagada. always good to hire a driver that is atleast experienced on the zigzag road of the mountains.
Foggy roads: occurs early in the morning and dusk mostly at Halsema highway.
