The cooperative exchange of labor and favor through the ob-obbo, dang-as, gamal, lampisa, galatis, supon and patang are still observed in Sagada, specifically in each ili.
Such cooperation must go beyond economics and must extend to the whole community, in order for Sagada to be called an ancestral domain, nut just geographically but functionally.
It should become a unified big ili doing collective action.
As of December 2003, there are 28 registered cooperatives in Sagada, Eight of these are operating, three are non-operating, three were dissolved, and the remaining fifteen cancelled their registration.
