Residential Lodge
Walking around 300 meters down town, you will find a blue house to your left. It’s Residential Lodge, one of the highly recommended lodging establishment on the internet. The building is quite new and rooms are at its best. Rooms are common or shared bathrooms/rest rooms but have 2 private rooms, and the Tourists are open to use the kitchen for cooking their own meals and preparing their coffee and tea.

I called her to make reservation for one night only 2 months before our intended date, she said that there are still vacancies and suggested that it's better to stay for two nights to explore Sagada better, however, since we have other plans and could only stay for one night, i just said we'll reserve only one night. So after our talk, I texted her the details and waited for a reply for confirmation, but no reply. A few days after I called again to confirm, and she said that sometimes the signal is poor. Thinking that she did not receive my text, I told her that I'll just text it again, so I did. But still no reply. A few days after, I texted her again, still no reply. I called her several times, but she's not answering her cellphone anymore. So asked my friend to call Mrs. Dao-as on her cell, this time she answered the phone. And there is no vacancy na daw for that date. The last time I went to Sagada in 2006, I stayed there at Tita Mary. i really liked the place and her hospitality, that's why I wanted to stay there again. Medyo nalungkot lang ako sa sitwasyon ngayon.

gareth, mukhang mali ata yung text mo tungkol sa picture ni mam mary and ramon bautista. sa pasyal mo nakuha yung picture na yun, hindi sa trip na trip. :)

I stay at the Residential Lodge everytime I go to Sagada. Tita Mary is very accommodating. Thanks Tita. But the last time I went there this December '09, I noticed that the blankets they gave me was probably used by other earlier clients and was not washed. (I still could smell the body odor from the blanket). Maybe it is because there are a lot of tourists then that they just let guests use beddings and blankets used by earlier clients. I had always recommended this lodge to friends but now I have second thoughts..........

I was in Sagada by myself last Feb 10-12. I stayed there. Tita Mary was so accomodating. Since I travelled alone, she sort of checked on me if I'm still ok & if my legs hurt coz of non-stop walking. It's a nice feeling that someone is checking on your well being when you're not with your mom. : ) I'll be coming back po.

Me and my friends could attest to Tita Mary's Hospitality and genuine warmth. Been there last Dec 2009. She was like our mother there-- giving us tips & advices whenever so our 3 day stay there was one of our best experience. Highly recommended. 5 out of 5.

PS: the place was cozy, they even have a fireplace :))

It is true that Residential Lodge is very accomodating especially Tita Mary who owns it. Me and my friends went to Sagada last November 24-27, 2011 but unfortunately we encountered unsatisfying experiences at Residential Lodge.

First, when we arrived at Residential Lodge we were provided a room in the basement area considering we booked earlier last September and we expected to be provided a room at the upper ground floor area.

Second, the electricity outlet is not functioning properly and we keep on advising them to fix it as we need to charge our celphones and cameras every now and then coz we need it for touring around the place.

Third and worst of all, the heater at the shower room keeps on tripping and malfunctioning. Imagine yourself taking a bath in the shower room with the heater on and then suddenly the water become so cold that you can't even finish taking a bath! Just the same we keep on calling the lodge owner and advised them to fix the heater.

You know, customers encountering problems is normal and unexpected. But the best thing u can do to your customers is to prevent the problem from recurring. Like what we had encountered at Residential Lodge, we should fix the root cause of the problem to prevent it from happening again-the electricity connection and the heater malfunctioning. By doing this, your customers will build loyalty to your business and likewise patronize it and even sell it to other people.

For us, we will still consider Residential Lodge to be our accomodation when we return to Sagada, but with the hope that what we had encountered will not happen again.

Thank you.
