this is the best picture in a Lamp i've ever seen so far.. taken by Lynore Sandoval

(a guides weapon)

9 hours – illumination life at full tank
360 degrees – lighting capability
10 meters – light range
500 candle power (cp) – light intensity

As much as possible, do not look directly at the mantle or bulb of the lamp.
The head of the lamp is very hot, do not touch.
Avoid splashing water unto the glass of the lamp to avoid it from breaking.

Advantages of using the Kerosene Lamp
Wide range of lighting power
Radiates heat that keeps clients and guides from freezing inside the cave.
The golden rays of lights illuminate the crystals from rocks.
Easy to hang and place in open spaces

right: a guide w/ the lamp

Heavy and Bulky
Fragile and operation unfriendly
Prone to destruction from splashes and hard impact falls
Very hot and guides are prone to burns and bruises.

The Kerosene Lamp emits carbon dioxide which is not friendly to us humans yet is still in service at present because alternative has yet to be introduced.
