This LINK will help you with your transportation problems, ranging from scheduled jeepneys and bus trips, fares, etc. (don’t worry, I keep this up to date the best I can)
What is the Best?
If you need my recommendation, there are 3 transportation options that I think is the Best way to go.
MANILA – BANAUE – BONTOC – SAGADA
When going to Sagada, you can take the bus from Manila to Banaue (9 hours) have a glimpse at the Banaue rice terraces, take a jeepneys to Bontoc (3 hours). You can visit the Bontoc Museum of if you have time and finally take the jeepneys to the SHANGRILA TOWN (45 min.)
Going back to Manila. Take the Bus to Baguio, then from there, to Manila.
But behind it all, this route especially the drop to Banaue is Complicated for 1st timers.
MANILA – BAGUIO – SAGADA
Just two transfers and a good rest when in Baguio, you will find it easier to travel to Sagada.
Catch the first trip bus to Sagada from Baguio at 6:30 am, so , from Manila, take the 12 o’clock Bus to Baguio.
What’s the Cheapest?
Easiest too?
The cheapest and easiest way to reach Sagada is through a 12.5 hour Bus ride directly to Bontoc then take the jeepney up SAGADA (45 min.).
For Private Vehicles Users,
It’s easier to take the Road up North taking the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), into Kennon Road to Baguio, then the Halsema Highway leading you all the way to Sagada. Distance of travel = 385 kms.
