what's the difference in terms of service, ages, etc with SAGGAs and SEGA? I'm a bit confused. I've been there twice already and everytime our guides are from the two associations there is a difference in there explanations.

Hello, I read about your concern, RE: improper waste disposal. I think it is a good idea to instruct your guides to CONSTANTLY tell fellow tourists/travellers. Some people just doesnt care and there is really no harm in making the "constant reminder" a part of your job as tourist's/traveller's guide. Try it! Say something like, In Sagada, we are deeply concern with taking care of our encironment so please, dispose your garbage properly. This will make this place more enjoyable for the future generations like your children and grandchildren.. etc etc... be vocal about it. It is your place after all..
Hope to see you there on October 2009!!!

@anonymous
Well said madam/sir anonymous: we will remind all guides to do that for sure :d

we really appreciate the comment
it's those little things we do that makes a difference.

we're a group of 4 (3 girls, 1 boy) planning to go to sagada on aug 21. is it better and cheaper to have the tour arranged in the municipal hall or can we have it arranged before we leave?

well, both are okay. there is no difference on prices because its standardized by the municipal hall. however, based on my biased opinion. it would be better to arrange it first before you leave to be prepared. like what to do, what to pay for, expectations and all. anyway,i hope you visit Sagada, happy tours to you guys :d

kua gareth, this is charm. my boyfriend and i decided to visit sagada for the first time, ETA would be around 10am(march 13). i already made preparation with regards to lodging(canaway), bus(Cable Tours), and the itinerary of cOurse!;)

Day 1
8:30 - ETA BONTOC
9:30 - ETA SAGADA
10:00 - CHECK-IN
11:00 - LUNCH & REST
1:00 - SIGHT SEEING TOUR
Echo Valley, Bokong Falls, Kiltepan Peak
5:00 - Cave Spelunking - SUMAGUING CAVE
9:00 - DINNER

DAY 2
6:00 - Kiltepan Peak
8:00 - SOUVENIR HUNT
9:00 - DEPARTURE TO BONTOC

So you see, it's almost ironed out, but we're just missing a big piece for this puzzle - a GUIDE! hehehe.
I was hoping if you could refer someone from your team that could accompany us through our sight seeing tours and caving on the first day and if it's okay, also a helping hand when taking fotos of our stay there.hihihihi.;) Someone who is fun to be with and will make our journey to Sagada a walk to remember for newbies like us. (although i've already browsed some of their prof, "kuya Kirky" seems to have followers, hahahaha)

ask q lang... why don't you wear gloves when caving? and why do you allow people to step in the rock formations itself? d ba po damaging ang acid ng hands natin sa rock formations.. as i can see sa pics those rocks are still growing, sayang nmn if masira or worse mamatay... just my 2 cents..

we don't wear them kasi we don't fee the need for it right now.
we allow people to step in the rock formation because for one thing, there is no other way, we are not allowed to build bridges or something.
The rocks might be growing yes, however, there is no law or rule not to touch them.
It's the oil from our hands that prevents the rocks from growing.
